Vincotto Fig by Gianni Calogiuri - 6 pack (250mL)
Vincotto is composed from cooking the musts, the pulped grapes of Negroamaro and Malavasia grapes, which have been left to wither on the vines for 30 days.
After cooking, the grape must is reduced to one-fifth of its original volume and left to age in oak barrels for up to 4 years. The flavor is uniquely sweet and sour. Vincotto Originale is alcohol free and has no colorings or preservatives. Figs are added to ad the Fig aroma and flavor.
Vincotto Fig is excellent meats, sauces, soups, fruits, salads, ice-cream and other desserts. Like drops on Mascarpone, or with fresh or grilled peaches or pears. This Italian condiment is excellent for many Italian recipes and Italian cooking.
